From the abyss of ETSY I bring you Mando on Blurrg :-) Its nice to see the quality of 3D printers having improved quite a bit recently, not much to see with regard to printing marks.
I am becoming a bit of a lazy painter nowadays, so the blurrg is completely airbrushed except for eyes and mouth...
That's a really nice quality print. I would never have guessed it was 3D printed. The blurrg's eyes are particularly good. Great painting on the knights, too.
AntwortenLöschenThank you! I am considering buying a 3D printer, would be fun to print your own minis :-)
LöschenOutstanding job, as usual, on both subjects. That figure of Mando is great and the paint job is just perfect to bring it to life.

Thank you, though the contrast between the brush-painted Mando and his airbrushed mount is quite visible unfortunately.
LöschenGreat Mando figure. Just like in the second episode. Excellent paint work.
AntwortenLöschenThank you - looking forward to the creatures of season 3 ;-)
LöschenBlurrg model is fun and your paintjob is oustanding as usual... Etsy have a large amount of nice stuff ...
AntwortenLöschenThanks, Nico. There is a whole world of printed minis on etsy, lots of generic stuff but some real highlights.
LöschenI think the Bluurg looks really good, though as you say it does contrast with Mando who is painted in a different style. I think it works though - I never would have thought of it if you hadn't mentioned it! I really must get an airbrush at some point!
AntwortenLöschenThanks! Dont wait too long ;-) honestly, it took me several years to finally buy one - but once its there, you know what you have missed. The handling is much easier than you would expect and you simply learn by doing. However, its hardly usable for 28mm historical minis but you can use it for big monsters and especially for vehicles and terrain of course.
LöschenThe Blurrg looks fantastic. Love the eyes! Cheers, Karl
